Eric Bickel

Eric Bickel hails from Huntington, Indiana, and serves as the administrator of Avenues Recovery Center at Indianapolis. He has earned an Associate of Science degree from Ivy Tech and IUPUI universities, after which he worked as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in hospitals for 12 years, providing crucial support to patients. Today, Eric channels his skill and heart into the field of addiction recovery—a path that resonates deeply with him, as he is in recovery himself. Eric is both an alumnus and former staff member at Avenues Recovery Center at Fort Wayne, and he brings valuable firsthand experience and genuine passion to his new role as administrator. He is committed to sharing what was freely given to him with every client who walks through Avenues' doors. 

Eric finds joy in his beautiful family life, with three children—a 13-year-old son and 8-year-old twins, a boy and a girl. Outside of work, he has a passion for rare houseplants and reptiles, interests that add a unique touch to his personal life. His dedication to his work and his own journey through recovery empower him to inspire hope and healing for others facing addiction.
