In a significant drug bust, Louisiana State Police officers discovered over $1,000,000 in cash and 183 pounds of marijuana during a routine traffic stop in Port Allen, Louisiana. WBRZ news reported that the incident, which occurred on Friday, February 15, 2025, has led to the arrest of a 29-year-old man from Charlotte, North Carolina.
According to the Louisiana State Police, the trooper initiated the traffic stop on a tractor trailer after noticing a suspicious white plastic bag on the floorboard. The bag appeared to contain a large amount of cash. Following a search of the vehicle, authorities uncovered $1,147,683 in U.S. currency, along with 183 pounds of suspected marijuana and approximately seven grams of suspected cocaine.
The driver, identified as Lenny Collado, was arrested and booked for possession with the intent to distribute marijuana or synthetic cannabinoids. He was also charged with transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses.
