A significant drug bust in Lebanon City has led to the seizure of nearly 400 "bundles" of fentanyl, marking a major victory in the fight against the opioid epidemic. On January 4th, authorities executed a search warrant at a residence on the 700 block of Walnut Street, where they discovered the fentanyl along with a stolen firearm. The bust resulted in the arrest of Rubin Perez, a Lebanon City resident, who is now facing several serious charges related to the incident.

Perez is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a prohibited firearm, and possession of a firearm with an altered manufacturer number. Additionally, he faces charges for receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Following his arrest, Perez was taken to Lebanon County Prison, where he is currently being held as he awaits his court hearing.

The discovery of the fentanyl bundles is a significant development in the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to address the growing concerns surrounding fentanyl trafficking and its devastating impact on communities. This seizure highlights the dangers posed by illicit drugs in the region, as fentanyl continues to contribute to a rise in overdose deaths across the country. Authorities have not released specific details regarding how the fentanyl was being distributed or the source of the drugs, but the bust is being hailed as a critical step in curbing the drug trade in the area.

The ongoing investigation into the case is expected to yield more information, as local law enforcement continues to work diligently to disrupt drug trafficking operations in Lebanon City and the surrounding areas. As the investigation progresses, authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to help prevent further drug-related crimes in the community.
