A major drug bust in Dingman Township, Pike County, has resulted in the seizure of a wide variety of illegal substances, firearms, and stolen money. On January 14, 2025, detectives from the Pike County District Attorney's Unlawful Narcotics Investigation Team (U.N.I.T.) executed a search warrant at a residence in the Conashaugh Lakes Community on Oneida Way. The operation led to the discovery of 20 pounds of marijuana, a large quantity of pills, numerous THC vapes and gummies, and a variety of mushrooms. Additionally, investigators seized firearms and over $30,000 in cash, along with $50,000 that had been stolen in a PayPal and dark web scam.

According to the PA Homepage news site, the two individuals arrested in connection with the bust, Jonny Contreras, 36, and Dennyeil Contreras, 47, both of Milford, face multiple drug-related charges. The arrests come as part of ongoing efforts by Pike County law enforcement to combat the distribution of drugs in the area.

The search of the home revealed a concerning range of items associated with the illegal drug trade, including marijuana, pills, and THC products. Investigators also noted that many of the THC vapes seized appeared to have packaging that could appeal to children, raising further alarms about the potential dangers posed by these substances.

Police also found firearms in the home, a troubling development given the violent potential associated with the illegal drug trade. The presence of weapons in the home, coupled with the drug cache, has heightened concerns about the safety of the individuals involved and the community at large.

While no injuries were reported during the execution of the search warrant, the operation did take place with two children living in the home, which has added a layer of concern for local authorities. District Attorney Ray Tonkin emphasized the alarming nature of the situation, noting that the seizure of THC products with packaging designed to attract children is a particularly troubling aspect of the case.

Jonny Contreras has been charged with multiple offenses and is being held on a bail of $500,000, while Dennyeil Contreras faces similar charges and has a bail set at $250,000. The arrests serve as a stark reminder of the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to address the illegal drug trade in Pike County and beyond.

Authorities are urging anyone with information on drug dealing or suspicious activity in Pike County to come forward. The Pike County District Attorney’s Office is committed to continuing its efforts to combat drug trafficking, safeguard children, and protect the community from the dangers posed by illegal substances.

This bust marks another significant win for local law enforcement in the fight against the drug trade, underscoring the importance of vigilance and community involvement in maintaining safety. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming as authorities continue to unravel the scope of the Contrerases' activities.
