Their efforts resulted in a significant drug bust this past week. Authorities in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, uncovered a clandestine lab, leading to the arrest of four 19-year-olds. The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the arrests of Eugene Dejean, Autumn Blackmore, Daniel Liebert, and Tyler Johnson, all from Chalmette and Arabi.
According to the WGNO news site, the charges against the suspects are extensive. Eugene Dejean faces multiple serious charges including possession and distribution of marijuana, THC vapes, THC edibles, psilocybin mushrooms, and psilocybin edibles. He is also charged with conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, operating a clandestine lab, and possession of firearms and drug paraphernalia.
Autumn Blackmore is similarly charged with possession and distribution of various controlled substances and firearms offenses, while Daniel Liebert and Tyler Johnson face charges including possession with intent to distribute marijuana, evidence tampering, and criminal conspiracy.
During the investigation, deputies discovered over $5,000 in cash and several firearms including a Smith & Wesson M&P BodyGuard .380, a Mossberg Model 59 shotgun, and a Palmetto State Armory 9 mm semi-automatic handgun.
Sheriff James Pohlmann expressed concern over the trend of drug dealers targeting youth with cleverly marketed and attractively packaged substances. He emphasized the department’s commitment to tackling these threats and protecting the community, especially its younger members, from dangerous drugs.
