July 15th, 2024 – Avenues Recovery Center announced today the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of their newest facility, Avenues Recovery Center at Indianapolis.

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers with 15 locations across seven states. Avenues accepts both commercial insurances as well as Medicaid, making quality and compassionate addiction treatment accessible to all.

As the third Avenues Recovery location in Indiana, Avenues Recovery Center at Indianapolis represents the culmination of years of experience, skill, and careful calibration – resulting in an unsurpassed treatment experience with consistently exceptional outcomes.

Avenues Indianapolis is located at 7960 North Shadeland Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana, on the former site of Crown Senior Living. Extensively renovated with a fresh, contemporary yet warm design, the new facility offers amenities such as spacious client lounges and beautiful outdoor recreational areas, giving clients a serene haven where they can focus on their recovery journey. Its multifaceted staff will include doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, therapists, counselors, and support staff – all seasoned, skilled, and passionate about their role.

“Avenues Recovery Center will help rebuild a community continually struck by tragic overdose deaths. We bring to the area not only a detox and residential facility with unparalleled clinical and medical care, but an entire recovery community,” said Whitney Straight, Regional Executive Director of Avenues Recovery Center’s Indiana facilities. “And our care does not stop post- graduation – our alumni program keeps clients strong, supported, and immersed in a vibrant recovery community. Whether a client, friend, family member, or loved one, you will always find yourself at home with Avenues.”

This new expansion is particularly exciting as it portends increased access to vital resources for all those struggling with addiction in the greater Indianapolis area.

The open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony for Avenues Indianapolis took place on August 5th, on-site at 7960 North Shadeland, Indianapolis. The event schedule included remarks by CEO Hudi Alter, Regional Executive Director Whitney Straight, Representative Alexis Weaver of the Indianapolis Office of Public Health and Safety, and Indianapolis District and City County Counselor Dan Boots. Refreshments were provided by Kahn's Catering, and entertainment included music by Matt Cookman, a musician in recovery, as well as a live painting by Cierra Johnson, an artist in recovery. Avenues employees provided guided facility tours for all attendees as well, giving them a glimpse of the beautiful new  building and lifesaving work done there each day.

The event provided a valuable opportunity for politicians, activists, and the recovery community of Indianapolis to mingle and tour the beautiful new facility, while learning more about the lifesaving work of Avenues.
